Hello
My name is Mohit Arora.
I’m a seasoned product leader with extensive experience launching and scaling innovative products, including B2C and B2B credit solutions. I specialize in guiding startups through the 0-to-1 journey, achieving product-market fit, and setting up data-driven frameworks for growth.
My Story
My journey began as a software engineer at a startup in 2002. Unaware I was part of a startup, I discovered the value of small teams working swiftly very early. At Quark, I honed my ability to gather customer insights through on-site visits and feedback, which deepened my commitment to building user-centric products.
At Adobe, I embraced the shift to Web 2.0, transitioning SOAP APIs to REST APIs and building mobile apps with Adobe Flex. When I integrated Efficient Frontier’s social media marketing tool into Adobe’s Marketing Suite, I discovered my passion for product management and startups.
That passion led me to Zopper, where I embarked on my first 0-to-1 product journey, pivoting the company to merchant-focused solutions. From launching a subscription-based POS system that contributed 50% of revenue within six months to introducing POS-based lending for SMBs, I learned the art of building from scratch.
In fintech, I scaled my impact at PaySense, driving 3x growth in the loan book and launching Lending as a Platform, contributing 15% of revenue in its first three months. After PaySense got acquired by PayU, I scaled monthly disbursals from CAD 15M to 30M, launching Lending-as-a-Service and automated repayment systems.
Most recently, at KOHO, I focused on fintech innovation. I improved margins by 20%, launched Flexible Credit Building with 8% adoption, and drove retention improvements through optimized subscription plans.
Leadership and Mentorship
Leadership has been a core part of my journey. I’ve grown product organizations from 2 to 8 PMs, mentored engineers and PMs to reach their potential, and worked closely with founders and C-suite executives to drive strategic growth. Whether promoting team members, scaling product teams, or mentoring PMs through Toronto Product Management Association, I’m committed to helping others succeed.
